Black Country Living Museum ‘Made in the Black Country’
 

Step into the heart of Birmingham's industrial heritage at the Black Country Living Museum, where their half term theme ‘Made in the Black Country’ proudly celebrates the fascinating people, products, and stories that came from the Black Country!

From filmmakers and sports heroes to internationally significant industries, including film-making and the world’s first steam engine, visitors will have the chance to meet iconic historic characters from the region.

Explore the new Industrial Quarter, have a go at making bricks, and create your own banner to take part in the 1910 women chainmakers' strike!

Visitors are also invited to enjoy soulful tunes at The Melon Ground Sessions, featuring  guest artist Ricky Cool, all whilst relaxing in the stunning surroundings. Plus,  Digbeth Dining Club will be paying a visit, offering a family-friendly day filled with next-level street food.

Shakespeare Birthplace Trust Explorer Backpacks
 

This half term, Shakespeare Birthplace Trust in Stratford-upon-Avon is launching Nature Explorer and Creative Explorer backpacks for visitors to experience the region’s iconic history in a whole new way!

Children will love wandering through Anne Hathaway's Cottage, uncovering treasures in the garden with the Nature Explorer Backpack and unleashing their artistic flair using recycled materials and other objects they have discovered.

The Creative Explorer Backpack encourages visitors to dig deeper into the place where William Shakespeare himself wrote many of his most well known plays.
