A Celebration of Ukrainian Culture

St Mary's Guildhall and the Organisation of Ukrainian Women in Coventry invite you to a special evening in which we will be celebrating Ukrainian culture.
Embroidered shirt day called "Vyshyvanka Day", which is celebrated in May, has inspired Ukrainian women to exhibit embroidered shirts, blouses, dresses, towels, tablecloths and pillowcases, inherited from past generations of Ukrainian women in Coventry. The Organisation of Ukrainian Women in Coventry, which has recently celebrated its 75th anniversary, is proud to display examples of handmade embroidery and emphasises its importance to Ukrainian culture and traditions.

In addition, colourful Ukrainian costumes will be showcased during the cultural programme, which includes Ukrainian folk songs and traditional dancing.

There is a new spiral staircase to the 2nd floor and where access is not step free, 360 panoramic views of the rooms are available on the digital tour tablets.
