About

There is something for everyone in the building, not just the waterway enthusiast and historian. Follow the canal round the
museum and discover Foxton’s past and introduce the people that made it such a wonderful place.

We have the Boiler Game, which requires you to put coal on the fire to make the lift work, we have the play boat where children can explore life on the canal, we have a great collection of waterway artefacts and stories, our working lift model, and our large screen story where you can
watch while Fred tells you our waterways history.

Additional Information:

  • Private Tours available
  • Groups: Min pax 10, Max pax 30.
  • The Canal museum is fully accessible, however parts of the site are steep and assistance may be required. It is best to
call us for advice and alternate parking which is available over the bridge.
